SIDNEY, M.T. —The Spearfish Spartans made the long trip to Sidney, Montana, over the weekend and returned with a strong showing across both the girls and boys wrestling teams. The girls program continued its early-season momentum by capturing the TEAM championship at the Sidney Eagle Girls Wrestling Invitational, while the boys battled through a deep tournament field and earned several individual placers at both the varsity and JV levels.
Girls Wrestling – Spartans Bring Home the Championship
It was a complete team effort for the Spartans girls, who put multiple wrestlers on the podium and crowned two champions.

With depth across nearly every weight class, Spearfish outlasted a competitive field and continued to build confidence early in the season. The performance highlights the strength of a roster that returned multiple state placers and now adds fresh momentum heading into December.
Boys Wrestling – Varsity, JV Earn Placers in Montana
On the boys side, the Spartans finished 15th in the dual tournament but found individual success in the varsity brackets. Jacob Foster and Alex Cudmore both claimed 8th-place finishes in their respective weight classes, giving Spearfish two varsity medalists in a tough interstate field.
