SPEARFISH, S.D. — Spearfish High School Activities Director Dalton Wademan announced Friday the hiring of Anthony Bradley as the new head coach of the Spartans boys soccer program, pending approval by the Spearfish Board of Education.
Bradley succeeds longtime head coach Jim Hill, who retired following the 2025 season after 21 years leading the program.
Bradley brings extensive coaching experience to the role. Over the past year, he served as the head girls soccer coach at Spearfish High School and previously worked as an assistant coach for the Spartans boys team. Prior to his time in Spearfish, Bradley had two separate tenures as head soccer coach in Belle Fourche, where his teams made multiple state tournament appearances and captured a state championship in 2006.
“Coach Bradley brings an abundant amount of passion, knowledge, and experience to the Spearfish Spartan Boys Soccer Program,” Wademan said. “We are excited for him to lead our Spartan boys soccer team and for his vision for continued growth.”
Bradley inherits a program with a strong tradition under Hill’s leadership and will look to build on that foundation as the Spartans prepare for the upcoming season.
The hiring marks a new chapter for Spearfish boys soccer as the program transitions to new leadership while maintaining its commitment to competitive excellence.
